About this role

Job Description:

  • To provide Shell Training Center with Services as a Well Trainer with necessary experience, capabilities and expertise in Well Engineering discipline;
  • The training program includes but not limited to IWCF Drilling, IWCF Completion Well Intervention, HPHT Planning, Well Control Course, Stuck Pipe Prevention Course, Basic and Advanced Well Engineering course;
  • Provide learning materials for courses conducted;
  • Provide update to training materials, based on syllabus refresh;

Scope of Work:

  • Provide call out access for Training Center for Well Engineering Trainer services in Drilling and CWI themes;
  • Provide contractual access to recognized industry training courses and providers;
  • Provision for delivery of service of process safety assurance or recommended courses including but not limited to the following:
  1. IWCF Courses;
  2. Stuck Pipe Prevention Courses with DS5000;
  3. Volumetric Stripping Courses with DS5000;
  4. Rig Inspection courses;
  5. Well Test Courses;
  6. MPD Courses with DS5000;
  7. ERD Courses with DS5000;
  8. UBD Courses with DS5000;
  9. WellCat Courses;
  10. Cerberus Well Intervention (CT and Wireline) courses;
  11. Well Stimulation and pumping courses;
  12. Cementing and Fluid Lab Courses;
  13. Leadership Courses;
  14. Teambuilding Courses;
  15. Continuous Improvement (CI) Courses;
  16. DROP prevention Courses;
  17. Python Programming courses.

About you

Requirement:

  • Thirty-Five (35) years of Oil and Gas Industry experience in Well Engineering Discipline;
  • Fifteen (15) years of experience as a Drilling Supervisor or equivalent handling both Onshore and Offshore Drilling and Completion Operations, Well Delivery Process, DtL, QA/QC, Hydraulic Workover, Deepwater Exploration Drilling Preparations, High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) Well Engineering Design and Planning, Expandable Tubular Project Management, Pressure Drillings, and HSSE Risk Analysis (HAZID, HAZOD, JHA and others);
  • An IWCF approved Instructor and Assessor;
  • Has proven experience in providing Wells training courses for e.g. IWCF RD and IWCF WI;
  • Well Control, all levels, IADC WellSharp Drilling, Workover and WI Supplements, all levels;
  • HPHT Well Planning & Well Control, Advanced Well Control with Human Factor, StuckPage 10 of 22;
  • Pipe Prevention Courses [on- or offshore], Introduction to Well Engineering, Basic and Advanced Well Engineering, Volumetric Stripping, Shell Round I or II;
  • Proficient to operate and troubleshoot DS5000 and DS50 drilling simulator and their program for training purpose;
  • Has great interest in training and people development.
